3 bay; built like a tank and comparable to the very best barns we find in Canada

It has 11”x11”ish posts, 12”x14” tie beams, 7”x10” rafter plates, and 6” +/- pole rafters.

It also has a purlin system  (7”x7” purlins) which is unusual for barns this narrow. All these are very large timber sizes for a barn this size.

If we put the barn  up on plinth blocks we could get around 15 feet of side wall height, which is enough for a second floor loft or bedrooms.
