ARCH BARN (click on each photo for more detail)
36’x54’
It is quite a stunning barn with two sets of arches that were built into the frame when the original guys built it back around 1850 or so. First time I have ever seen arches like this and they really set this frame off.
All hand hewn main timbers, pine barn. Has 17’9” side walls, 12”x12” posts, 10”x12” rafter plates, 12”x12” & 10” x 12” tie beams. 13” x 14” loft sill beam and 20” swing beam. Gunstock post in swing beam taper to 15.5” in center. Arches are original and mortised and tennoned into posts & tie beams. It’s a very clean and well preserved barn with great features.
